Welcome to Uncle Matt's Old Country Store and Restaurant

The old country store is an American tradition that began hundreds of years ago. Sadly, it is a tradition that has been dying a slow but steady death throughout the nineteenth century. Some of the original country stores in America are still in business. One example is The Old Country Store in Moultonborough, New Hampshire. Founded in 1781, it is not only one of the oldest country stores in America, but is also one of the longest running businesses in the United States. The store has a website now where you can buy directly, even if you can't get there in person.

Founded in 1781, this Old Country Store has been in business for 234 years!

It is in honor of such history and traditions that Uncle Matt's Old Country Store and Restaurant would like to bring the concept of the Old American Country Store to the Philippines. My wife and I are already working to create a production process that reliably provides the required quantities of our foods and crafts from our farm in Iba, Zambales. Once we have the ability to produce enough of our products to keep our shelves stocked, we will open our doors for business. We will be offering products such as authentic country hams, applewood smoked bacons, traditional corned beef, and pastrami, as well as fresh sausages. Our menu will include all-American favorites such as the Rueben sandwich, Applewood BLT's, Hickory Smoked Ribs, Baked Beans, Fresh Baked Breads, Farm Fresh Gourmet Butter, Cheese and so much more.

Until then, we will be hosting this blog and keeping you apprised of our plans and our progress. We will even be showcasing our products and our recipes and our production techniques. So please keep in touch and please follow us on Facebook!
